Commercial Drivers
Commercial drivers employed in the transportation industry keep the wheels of commerce turning across New Jersey. It is the New Jersey MVC that issues commercial driver's licenses (CDL) in New Jersey.
The renewal of CDLs is also uder the jurisdiction of the MVC. And, if you ever lose your New Jersey CDL or have it stolen, you can order a replacement through the MVC.
In addition to the issuance of commercial driver's licenses, the New Jersey MVC also takes on the responsibility setting the educational requirements for those who drive commercial vehicles in New Jersey. States must meet minimum federal guidelines regarding education and eligibility standards, but New Jersey determines additional requirements as well.
